" I was issued a greatcoat left over from the Great War, an entrenching tool and a panzerfaust. With these, I was expected to defend the Fatherland at all costs. The greatcoat was moth-eaten, the entrenching tool had a broken handle and the panzerfaust rocket simply bounced off the front of the Pershing tank."
